According to my Goodreads Challenge, I read 128 books this year. Here’s compared to last few years:
2020: 140
2019: 155
2018: 179
2017: 207
2016: 209
I challenge myself to read ten books a month. This year, I made that goal, but barely. I want to read more because reading makes me happy. So I want to read more not because I feel like I have to but because I want to.
But 2021 did not come to play! Every month, I struggled to find the headspace to read much of anything besides what I had to read for work. Now when I look around my library, I see stacks of books I’d love to read. I just didn’t have the time.
My TBR loomed over me all of last year, but 2022 will be different. I’ve planned some general ideas and set some goals for 2022, but I’ll save that for another time.
Even though I didn’t read as much as I would have liked, I still read some incredible books that captured my attention and never let go. So here’s what y’all have waited for: my top ten books of 2021!
